By installing or using Translext, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the extension.
The Service
Translext is a browser extension and companion web app that provides live audio transcription and translation via a toolbar popup and an on-page floating overlay.
Accounts
You're responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity under it. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
Credits & Billing
Translation is paid for with credit packs — a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Credits never expire and are consumed at a rate of roughly one credit per minute of translation. The price and number of credits are shown at checkout before you pay.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Translext to capture or translate audio you don't have the right to record, or in any way that violates applicable wiretapping, consent, or privacy laws in your jurisdiction.
Intellectual Property
Translext and its branding are owned by us. You retain all rights to the content of your own conversations.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The service is provided "as is." Machine translation can be imperfect, and we don't guarantee perfect accuracy for any language pair.
Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Translext is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the service.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time; continued use of Translext after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
